NUKKOR Modular NBC Shelter
NUKKOR is a modular NBC shelter system built on a steel modular shell, combining blast pressure resistance, CBRN filtration, independent power and water, and long-duration life support in a single platform.
What is an NBC shelter?
An NBC (nuclear, biological, chemical) shelter is a sealed volume that maintains a survivable internal atmosphere against blast overpressure, radioactive fallout, biological agents and chemical gases.
Thick walls alone are not enough: airtightness, positive pressure, filtration, power and waste management must work together. NUKKOR integrates these in the factory.
Why modular
Modules are produced and tested in a controlled factory environment and assembled on site. This shortens site work, makes quality measurable, and allows the system to grow when needs change.
- Factory-controlled weld quality
- Fast on-site assembly
- Add modules as capacity grows
- Standardised spare parts
Integrated systems
Every NUKKOR unit is the sum of six core systems.
- Structural protection and blast pressure resistance
- NBC/CBRN filtration and positive pressure
- Independent power and backup
- Water supply, storage and treatment
- Decontamination transition airlock
- Radiation and air quality monitoring
Who is it for?
Residences and estates, corporate campuses, critical infrastructure operators, healthcare and energy facilities, and public institutions. Capacity, duration and threat scenario are defined per project.
Capacity and duration
Design is sized by occupancy, target autonomous duration (72 hours, 14 days, 30+ days) and the site's threat profile. Airflow, water reserve, power capacity and storage follow from these inputs.
Frequently Asked Questions
- How long does installation take?
- Module fabrication and site preparation run in parallel; typical installation ranges from a few weeks to a few months depending on scale.
- Can it be installed under an existing building?
- Yes. It can be integrated at basement level in new builds or buried in a garden or parking area for existing structures.
- How many people should it hold?
- Occupancy covers the entire protected group; air and water calculations depend directly on that number.
